Upskilled assists every participant to complete our high quality training programs. In the event that you experience difficulties with your studies, we encourage you to consult with your trainer or any member of the Upskilled staff. We ensure that the full resources of our Registered Training Organisationare made available to help you achieve the required level of competency in all qualifications. Should personal circumstances interfere with your progress, please contact Student Support. If your needs exceed Upskilled’s support capacity, we will refer you onto an appropriate external agency.

Flexible Delivery and Assessment Procedures

Upskilled recognises we all learn differently, and that with an amount of reasonable adjustment, participants who may not thrive via traditional learning and assessment methods will still achieve great results.

Upskilled is committed to making any reasonable adjustment to meet the needs of a variety of participants. For example, if you or your employees have difficulty with written assessments, this does not need to be a barrier to competency. Common adjustments include having someone read assessment materials to a participant, or having someone record a participant’s spoken responses to assessment questions. Upskilled assists participants to achieve required competency standards wherever possible. If we cannot assist, we will refer the process to an appropriate outside agency that can.

After hours support

If you require additional support with assessments or course material out of work hours, you can book an appointment with a trainer by phone or via Skype. Simply email studentsupport@upskilled.edu.au or call 1300 009 924 to arrange a suitable time.

Trainer Support

Upskilled understands the importance of continued support, advice, and guidance throughout the learning process. For that reason we ensure our trainers are available to provide feedback on assessments, assist in the understanding of course materials, and answer any questions you may have.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (LLNP)

The LLNP provides language, literacy and numeracy training. The program seeks to improve clients’ language, literacy and/or numeracy with the expectation that such improvements will enable them to participate more effectively in training or in the labour force and lead to greater gains for society in the longer term. Eligible clients are referred to an LLNP provider by referring agencies, currently Centrelink and Job Network members.

Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Assistance

Our course materials contain written documentation and limited numerical calculations. We recognise that not all people are able to read, write, and perform calculations to the same standard. Upskilled can help. If a participant’s needs exceed our capacities, we will refer them to an external support provider (such as the Reading and Writing Hotline). This service is a national adult literacy referral service, funded by the Australian government. Experienced teachers provide advice on improving reading, writing, and numeracy skills and give information on classes in your local area. Phone (24 hours) 1300 655 506.
